Matariki
We have been learning about Matariki.t Did you know there are about 500 stars in the Matariki Cluster but you can only see seven of them. The appearance of the Matariki Stars starts at the beginning of the Māori New Year. As part of our Matariki study we are decorating paper feathers. I coloured my feathers with pencils. We cut the matariki feathers out after we finished colouring them.the name of the Matariki stars are Waipuna, Waiti, Waita, Tupu-a-nuku, Tupu-a-rangi and Uru-rangi. Have you ever seen the Matariki stars?
